Valenti Angelo was an internationally renowned printmaker, illustrator, and author. Valenti illustrated some of the greatest works of the Grabhorn Press, and illustrated hundreds of other books.
Valenti and his wife Maxine were close friends of John Fass. The Angelos lived in Bronxville, New York, where John Fass frequently visited them for weekend garden parties.
In 1950 John puchased an Albion printing press from Valenti Angelo, to use for the Hammer Creek Press. Valenti illustrated several books that John printed on that Albion printing press.
